LAURA JANE GRACE OF AGAINST ME! PROFILED FOR COSMO

On what was the hottest day in Sydney ever, Florida punk band Against Me! fronted by Laura Jane Grace continued their 16 year career with one minor change. Laura was performing now as a woman and touring for their album 'Transgender Dysphoria Blues'.

ELIZABETH ROSE (FT. SINDEN), AGAIN OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO

S&L directed & produced this music video for rising Sydney Indie Electro Pop artist Elizabeth Rose, to be released through UK producer, Sinden's Grizzly label and premiered on Pedestrian TV. Thanks Elizabeth, Rodeo, Millie, Ben, Chereine, Barry, Larry, Quinn, Ed and Abby and Stan at The Front.

TAME IMPALA, LONERISM ALBUM RELEASE EPISODE THREE

S&L directed and produced three episodes for Tame Impala's 2012 release Lonerism, above the final which focuses on touring and features a live shoot at Splendour by S&L. Watch episode one here, episode two here and episode three here on Tame Impala's youtube. Tame Impala were recently among five nominated for the 2012 Triple J Award. Tame Impala won best album in the 2010 J Award for their first release, Innerspeaker.

A FOUR MINUTE RIDE TO ABOVE THE CLOUDS IN THE ANDES MOUNTAINS

In 2011 S&L was contracted (among other tasks eg. Live Broadcasting for Redbull TV), to direct and produce eight 26min TV shows following the IBA Redbull Tour around the globe. Part of our show format was to include expeditions to local sites. This short segment from episode three in Chile, was shot one day as we traversed, perhaps a little too quickly up into clouds of the Andes mountains. Manny Vargas (our talent) took us on this journey, along with local guides, Yo Yo (think about that name for a second) and Nelson to Mount Chungarra which separates Bolivia and Chile. This man Stuart Craine a re-engineer'errer awarded by the UN and the G20, whose company Barefoot Power has re-modified LED lights that have been distributed to a million homes in the underdeveloped world. Saving kero lamp fires and helping kids to read n' that.

This the director's cut of Cam Smith's TVC.
S&L was contacted by Grey to direct five ads with producer Lou Smith, with profile pieces on four key players: Billy Slater, Cam Smith, Cooper Cronk, Ryan Hoffman and coach Craig Bellamy of NRL's Victorian based team, Melbourne Storm. S&L also contributing to the print/stills campaign which was an integrated idea of the from Josh and Sharon at Grey. See write up here on Mumbrella. SURFING MAGAZINE HIDDEN CUP TEST

Our friends at Surfing Mag in Cali briefed us on a new circular look with their art director Chato Aganza, who referenced some retro Philip Glass builds. Challenge was to use the circles around a rectangular logo. To work in an idea to the build and to make a reveal possible we storyboarded a hidden cup reveal of the logo. LUKE NGUYEN'S VIETNAM II FOR SBS TV

Acclaimed cooking show, Luke Nguyen's Vietnam is just launching it's second season on SBS TV. S&L was asked to create the online content to launch with the second series and made 15 separate cuts ranging from an eight-part interview with Luke to Masterclass cooking lessons which were shot in the heart of Sydney's Vietnamese hub, Cabramatta. The music used is an original score by Mark Chivas commissioned by S&L. Big thanks Shelley, Luke and Erik.
